Your Resource for Invisalign Braces
North Florida Dentistry is pleased to be able to offer Invisalign braces to our patients in the Orange Park area. This virtually invisible teeth-straightening system provides a cosmetically pleasing option for those who would like to improve their smile. We have a great deal of experience using this technology, and we have seen how it has helped countless people to feel better about their overall appearance.
Dental braces provide both a foundational and a cosmetic solution. Straight teeth line up better and allow for better dental hygiene, as well as an improved bite. People also find straight teeth more attractive. Invisalign aligners help address both of these issues at one time. Learn more about this system below, and contact us if you have any questions about how it works.
The Alternative to Metal Braces
Years ago there was only one option for those who wanted to straighten their teeth and restore their smile. People signed on for metal braces that were expensive, uncomfortable, and unsightly. Due to advances in dentistry, there is another option available—Invisalign braces. This straightening system consists of clear aligners that gradually move your teeth into a more desirable configuration. Not only is this system more attractive—it’s also less painful!
The clear aligners are a great innovation that has helped many people be less self-conscious about fixing their smile. From teens to older adults, Invisalign provides patients with an option for addressing crooked teeth without having to don a network of metal inside their mouth. They’ve been a popular choice since they came on the market, and we love working with this system. If you’re considering getting your teeth straightened, we think you’ll appreciate it too!
How Does Invisalign Work?
Most people are good candidates for Invisalign aligners, but not everyone can wear them. Talk with us about whether this is a good fit for your needs. If so, we will sit down with you and come up with a treatment plan that will be totally custom for you. North Florida Dentistry uses the iTero® digital scanning system to take 3D pictures of your teeth and base a series of clear aligners on what we find.
For your part, you simply need to wear the aligners and come into the office periodically to change them out for the next set. Your teeth will begin moving gradually and shift into the correct position over the course of treatment. One of the benefits of the Invisalign system is you can take the aligners out for short periods of time, such as when you eat dinner or brush your teeth at night.
Once your teeth have moved into the correct position, your Invisalign treatment is complete! We recommend using a Vivera retainer to keep your new smile intact after you’re finished. Contact our office to arrange a consultation for Invisalign today.
